Dental Implants

Dental implants are the standard of care and most predicable and successful way to replacing missing teeth. It allows one to replace a missing tooth without damaging or shaving down the adjacent teeth. It also stimulates the jaw bone and prevents future bone loss. When one losses a tooth, the jawbone shrinks due to lack of stimulation and besides affecting your smile, it can change the shape of your face and cause a premature aging appearance.

A dental implant is a titanium cylinder or screw that fuses with ones bone through a process called Osseointegration to replace the missing root that will support a dental crown, bridge or dentures. After the implants heals for 3 months, an abutment also know as a post is attached to the implant which will support the dental crown. Dental implant crowns look and feel like a natural tooth giving one a healthy smile and complete function.
