By fabricating a surgical guide based on this digital plan, it allows us to precisely place your dental implant with less morbidity, less surgical time and quicker healing. It also allows us in certain cases to place the implant without any incisions or sutures. Because the guides are so accurate, we can fabricate a temporary crown that will screw into your implant so you leave with a new tooth connected to your implant. It also allows us to show you a digital mock up of what your smile will look like after the procedure, such as after aesthetic crown lengthening.
Digital scanning also allows us to eliminated dental impression material while increasing the accuracy of your final dental product.
