DR. JAY RUBIN

About

Jay Rubin is a Board Certified Periodontist specializing in the treatment of periodontal disease and in the surgical placement of dental implants. He is the director of implant dentistry and an Assistant Professor of Dentistry at Touro College of Dental Medicine. He is course director for the second year class Intro to dental implants and the forth year course advanced implant case review. His area of expertise is in hard (bone) and soft tissue (gum) grafting, sinus augmentation, treatment of periodontal disease and dental implants. He is also certified in the pinhole surgical technique for gum rejuvenation and the LANAP protocol for laser treatment of periodontal disease.

Dr. Rubin has always enjoyed teaching and giving over his knowledge to the next generation. Prior to joining Touro College of dental medicine, Dr. Rubin previously held positions on the faculty of Columbia College of Dental Medicine and Fairleigh Dickinson Universities, where he taught third and fourth-year students in periodontics. He is an international lecturer and has lectured for various hospitals, residency programs, implant companies and dental meetings.

Dr. Rubin graduated from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Rubin then earned his D.M.D. from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania, and was certified in advanced general dentistry and periodontics at Fairleigh Dickinson University. He received board certification in periodontology and dental implant surgery from the American board of periodontology.
